VeloSwap is an annual event that even armored car drivers now fear. It’s when the ATM machines at the National Western Complex in Denver are emptied by cycling enthusiasts for this mammoth bicycle swap and expo, now in its 28th year. Every year attendees drain some $175,000 cash from ATMs on-site to snap up deals from the hundreds of vendors selling every imaginable bike, parts, accessories and clothing. Need a vintage-condition, still-in-the-box Campagnolo Gran Sport derailleur circa 1979? Or a new Litespeed? Or a barely used 6 inch travel downhill bike? These are what an estimated 10,000 attendees are in the hunt for.
If you like biking, you belong at VeloSwap. Every year, every one is invited to the world’s largest consumer bike swap and expo. Mark your calendar for Denver’s fall tradition: This one-day-only cycling marketplace and festival happens Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017.
Simply come to the event and browse the many booths of bikes and bike equipment. You will find new and used bikes, cycling clothing and accessories and tons of other sports related stuff. There are great finds and there is junk. Haggle ‘til you drop, and remember, cash is king.
To sell product at VeloSwap you will need to purchase a booth space. To do so, find you category here, then complete the form to register. Although the name says swap, it is more of a buy and sell environment.
Educational seminars at VeloSwap rock. Make sure to check the schedule and attend any and all. You will be sure to walk away smarter.
After you have shopped til you drop, make sure to spend some time with the suppliers and reps to test out that new ride for next year. You don't need to buy it at VeloSwap, but what a great opprotunity to check it out.
